Mine now sorted and it is brilliant fun! (The test with DX8 showed a fault in my main board) have to say they, KLMS were very good (Dan in particular)

I spoke to Dan on the phone and he told me someone returned there to the shop today with tail problems , I thought straight away that was you . Dan has been really helpful and i feel a bit of a idiot if the problem is my DX6i calibration. Im hoping it will be sorted now but we shall see tommorrow .

I think they are probably right - I just tried it with mine - powered up the heli with 5% throttle stick up - the gyros start working and if you move the heli, one or more servos wander off to full travel and stays there struggling.
Seems a bit daft to me, as the heli won't start the motor till it sees low / zero throttle, so it knows it's been powered up with 'throttle on' and knows it's not flying as it has never started the motor - so why enable the gyros?
Anyway, Hope it goes well tomorrow, its a cracking little bird when it behaves itself!

Well, this is something else we know about now. The next person with this problem will get a good answer and if it happens to one of us then we know to check our throttle. No consolation but this will help a lot of peeps over time.

Ok another update Got the heli back today Charged the stock lipo rebound after setting the throttle channel ATV/Endpionts to 125% Lower/upper . And what do you know everything works as its should. Went into the garden for the maiden Flight/Hover , It was a bit weird trying to lift off leaning to the left and then forward but i read about this so i was expecting it .

Finally up in to a hover and everything seems fine apart from a tail drift to the left / nose right . Now another Question

My Gens Ace lipo's Can i use the stock charger to charge them via the balance cable not the JST Connector and use the same balance connector to plug directly into the heli and cut off the JST Connector?
If not Im looking for a Balance charger that will if anyone has one going cheapish

Midland sell a cable that lets you charge those on a regular charger. To answer your other question, yes - the stock charger will charge your batteries through the balance plug.

Finally up in to a hover and everything seems fine apart from a tail drift to the left / nose right .

Had the same issue with one of mine, had to adjust the rudder sub-trim to correct it, only took 6L clicks with me and now hovers perfectly steady.

Don't cut off the JST that's what you connect to the heli to power it, either make an adaptor or replace the connector on the heli or in the batteries...
