I was at work as normal then i had the phone call from my wife today to say that my Parcel had arrived (130X) . Yes only another 7hrs to go and i could get home a play, Well that was the plan the time dragged it seemed everytime i look at the clock it went back 10minutes.

So i finally get home do the family thing etc then open the box and put the lipo on charge while reading the instruction. I program the DX6I as the manual suggest and wait for the lipo to finish charging. The green light comes on the charger and i install it in the heli and begin the bind process which goes ok.

I then notice that somthings not right because the swash is not level well it turns out looking at the nose of the heli the right hand servo just goes straight to the bottom and jams up it will not move and get hot really quick. At first i thought i must have programed something wrong but i been through the programming 5 times and its excatly as the manual suggest.

Anyone got any idea's what could cause this .. please keep in mind i do not want to start trying different servo's because it looks like im going to have to return it back to Kingslynnmodelshop.

You are putting the heli into bind mode?

Is the swash not level when power off or on? Power on, switch Throttle Hold ON and test your servos, are they working correctly? Is this just a problem you have with a tilt to the left/right on takeoff? Because that is a known issue that can be rectified, if the servos are not working, then you need a replacement by the sound of it.

Ok people I have Re-bound the heli to the dx6i which seems to be hit or miss sometimes it will and sometimes it wont bind . When does Bind It dont matter weather TH is on or Off the servo on the right just locks up either full up or down and it makes a squealing noise and gets red hot . The other servo's work as they should as well as the motor.

Now i looked at the wires and they all seem pluged in but i unplugged and re-plugged them in and i can now get the servo working but it just bounce's after i input or during a command ...

Its does excatly the same as this video but mine is the right servo looking from the nose of the heli.

That looks fooked to me - either the servo has lost its feedback, or the 3-axis controller has gone mad.
If a servo hits the endstops & gets hot, that's bad news.
I 'm pretty sure it's not a binding issue - probably needs to go back to be replaced...
Bad luck with that, not a common problem AFAIK.

Just put it back in the box and send it back, the more mess about with it the more likely they are
To refuse you a refund.

It does sound like a faulty servo out of the box But you can check a couple of things. I've had 3 dodgy servo's so far, 2 of which i successfully fixed although not exactly sure how. One had very bad soldering connections to the board, check these carefully as a bad connection could cause the servo to fail or behave erratically, if you are handy with a soldering iron then this can be fixed easily. The other issue i had was the servo kept sticking rather than jittering like in your video, all i did was pull it apart, clean connections, put it back together and it worked fine, but i can't exactly tell you why. The other thing i noticed is that if the wires are caught in the frame or squashed on a board somewhere, they will not work properly, check the wiring also. Failing that, return to sender for replacement. I also had one servo with bad soldering out of the box, my LHS replaced it for me as you shouldn't need to repair them out the box.

Well its back in the box ready to be returned to Kings Lynn Models Im going to ring them first thing and see what the situation is regarding returning it ..Do you reckon they would send another striaght out and pick the faulty one up at the same time ?..

I'm gutted i was hoping to give it a good thrashing this weekend even purchased 10 gense ace lipo's as well.. Looks like the MCPX will have to do

I'm sure they will replace it for you no problem. I love mine and yes it has it's faults (not that i'm an expert) but for the money it has been the best purchase for me in a long time

Mine too! Arrived on Tuesday but I restrained test flying until checked by a clubmate who has one and loves it. Everything was fine settings bind etc lifted off into a lovely steady hover then wham tail spun and dived to the ground!!! Tail servo just keeps turning first to one end then the other but there is no movement in the linear worm or the push rod? Decided not to fiddle, back in box ready to be returned to KLMS. Sent an Email and waiting their feedback, suggestions.

Gutted it was a perfect day.

Still the Raptor performed lovely specially starting now that I have fitted an Auto glow ignitor, (thanks to all the folks on here that contributed to an earlier thread on that).

Seems a bit of a shame, hope you get it sorted and sending it straight back is the right thing to do. I thought the 130s were generally the DB but reading this they seem a bit hit or miss!

Well at least you got to see and have ago , I was grounded out of the box i new straight away something was wrong so never even tried to fly it . At first i thought is was a programing issue or maybe a binding issue but even once its bound its the same .

Whats more annoying is the fact that no-one was there in the shop today to sort it out ,Ive goto to ring back monday which is longer than the 24hrs to report problem although i already have with some lad in the shop. And another thing my 10 ace gen lipos turned up today , All i can do is look at them until the heli is replaced

Just a quick update.. The heli went back to KLMS and they recieved it today. They rang me at 1pm to confirm the problem i was having . They bind it to there DX8 that they use for testing and everything works fine they even flew the heli in the shop .

They also said they can replicate the problem i was having by moving the throttle trim up 4 clicks on their DX8 and i was asked to check my DX6i in the monitor screen to see if the trottle channel was going to full off If it doesnt to increase the endpoints so that does.

I was told that unless the heli see's throttle fully off the heli thinks its flying so the gyros act acordingly . Dont know how true that is but we shall see

I have looked at the monitor on my DX6i and it does not seem to go to full off throttle so i adjusted the endpoints so it does. Now i wont get chance to try this until tommorrow once the heli has be returned to me at my cost because they could'nt find anything wrong.

So we shall see tommorrow

Mine now sorted and it is brilliant fun! (The test with DX8 showed a fault in my main board) have to say they, KLMS were very good (Dan in particular)
