Rc Hero upgrated bearings.

Who had the RC Hero upgrated bearings installed on there 130x!

Well I have, and it feels exactly the same as before and the high vibration on spool up is still there, as before!
Same slop on tail bearings as with the originals. Also it developed a tail vibration in flight that wasn't there before.
Not saying that the new bearings are not good.

Il be interested on other peeps views please. Maybe just mine with the problems. Maybe sometying i installed wrong i go through it again.

Interesting, just got my 130X this morning (excited!) was going to get a set of these, might see how mine is first £25 gets me a heap of batteries or spares!!

Mine has last the vibration on spool up and the tail shaft has no slop whatsoever.

Are you sure you installed the right bearings in the right places?

Yea definately. The new bearings are very well packed. 100% sure they gone on the right places.

Hmmm maybe mine then. Gone through the set up again and done all checks.....still the same

weird...I really dont know. Did you put the tail back together correctly? ITs pretty fiddly, maybe the grey collar with the two black screws isnt seated properly or something?

Im not going to lie, it doesnt make a night and day difference but that horrible resonance on spool up is definately gone on mine, which is the main reason i wanted them.

The resonance always been like that since was new.
I have checked the tail and the collar and all seems fine!
Strange indeed.

To be fair is difficult to see any difference from the old and the new bearings. They are soooo tiny some of them.

Let's wait and see the reports from other people that fitted those bearings.

No, dont worry, it hasnt put me off, was waiting for my first flight to see how it was. Have to say I'm not that bothered about the resonance at spool up and it flys bloody great compared to my MCPX, but if they are making a difference it will be worth while. Need to get some batteries first; only got one at the minute (dammit!!)

Sorry I have only just seen this thread.

You may not notice the benefits initially but if you grab at 130X without the bearing kit and rotate the head, then one with the bearing kit you will certainly notice the difference. The guys at my club were doing this, with a 130X that was fresh out of the box and one with the kit installed it was pretty damn cool! No notchy evilness, smooth and sweet!!!!

I would ask that you check all the bearings are seated properly, as this is a fiddly install, especially check the front torque tube bearing. You will have to reset the tail pitch by moving the servo back/forward if you moved this? Can you post some photos of the rear end from the top? and the front gears? This may help here? Or email them to me? I would think there maybe something else going on here?

The other benefit you will gain from this kit is increased efficiency in moving parts, from our understanding better/more support for the torque tube. As well as a much longer life span than the bearings from stock. I personally was pretty shocked by these stock bearings, and have gone back through all my blade models. Just changed the mcpx main bearings and again pretty impressed.

i've installed the bearings kit on mine except the tail grip bearings.

Can anyone not make a video before and after? Coz I can't see where this slop is on my 130x?!

Hi Mine gained slop in the bearing just behind the tail slider. All the other bearings seem ok I am waiting for a replacment circuit board so cant test any more. I am going to swap the bearing as the tail was wagging on the last flight and this could be the cause. Took about 20 flights before the bearing started to fail.

Yeah the stock bearings are pretty poor!

that tail shaft wobbles. If you grab the shaft, stock it has 1-2mm play back and forward and up and down.
