  • 120SR binding problems

I'm using a Spectrum DX6i with my 120SR which also has been set up for three other models (HK450; mSRX and mCPX). After I've flown one of the others and come back to the 120SR it has often lost its binding and I have to re-bind it. Also, I can't get it to bind with the throttle at min setting; it has to be at 1/2 throttle to achieve a bind!

    Any ideas please?

Is it a binding problem? I have had similar problems with my 130x. When plugged the battery the led was flashed only. After some research found out i had initialization problem instead of binding. What works for me is keep the transmitter away at least 3-4 feet from the heli, switch the transmitter on then wait 15-20 seconds to make sure the tx locked on to two free frequencies(dsm2) then plug the battery on to the heli. If it is flashes(8 out of 10) just unplug then plug on again. Normally i get it connected at second time.

I've had problems with the 130-X as well. Just because it doesn't initialise, doesn't mean it's lost it's bind. With the 130-X it's a mix of vibration from the motor, from the way you plug it in and the distance of the tx from the rx. Pointing the ariel at the rx helps as well as that's the worst position for signal strength. Indoors rebinding can be very difficult with lots of other txs about. That's DSM2 with an old DX7.

Well, it is inside but only 1 other transmitter at the time. I'm still puzzled by why it won't bind with throttle at minimum?
