Crashed the bird yesterday, nothing to bad just a heavy, slight nose first, landing. However one of the servo's started to misbehave making flying impossible. It was sticking and then moving erractically or not moving at all. I came home and after a quick check on the net had resigned myself that a new servo was needed.
Today I decided to take it apart and confirmed that it was not the teeth or the motor. I then decided as a last ditch attempt to clean the the main screw (sorry not technical), the one that moves the arm up and down. I took a small artist paint brush and lightly dusted it. I couldn't see anything there but thought I couldn't do any more harm. I also removed the main cog and gave that area a dusting to. The result is the servo is now moving freely.
So to any newb's like myself before getting the cash out have a go and see if it works for you.
