  • Batteries for Blade 180CFX

Got a bit trigger happy on the Hobbyking site and ended up ordering the wrong batteries for my 180CFX. They have a lower C rating and slightly higher mAh rating.

The ones I have been using are the Nano-Tech 450 mAh with a 65-130c discharge

The ones I ordered by mistake are 460mah and only a 25-40c discharge rate - Are they still usable for basic circuits etc? I'm no 3D flyer (yet!).

They will be fine. The original eflite lipo is only a 30c, and I doubt the extra 10mah will be noticeable in size or flight time. So long as they are 3s and actually fit in the heli.. Fly away!

Thanks for the quick reply. I do have one of the Eflite batteries that came with the heli and wondered if this was the case so good news all round. Once again thanks for the quick reply.

As crash-test-tomo says they will be fine , If you are pushing hard the batteries will get hot & probably need replaced sooner that your eflite battery

I'm using Gensace 3s 520mAh 30C and and get an extra 30s of flight time over the stock 450mAh battery.

Hey 40% off that battery at the moment. Was going to get nano techs but at that price will get these. I use a gensace already so know its a good battery.

25-40c will be good for 3D let alone basic circuits ...
