White canopy source

Hi guys.

I like the white Beam E4 canopy. It's tough, so mostly survives crashes without cracking, and mostly white, which means I can paint it a bit to make it stand out more.

Unfortunately, either everyone likes them, or no-one else likes them, because I can't find a source for them anymore.

Does anyone know where I might be able to find some, or another source for cheap/ tough canopies that'll fit the Beam?

The last white Beam canopy I had cracked just by looking at it! Binned it..
Trex one fits if you use the sponge under the front.

Hmm, really? The plastic ones? It always seemed a lot more robust that the fibreglass ones you get for most 450s. The only one I broke was from ploughing in nose first; admittedly it broke it a lot... but it had survived a number of crashes completely unscathed.

I think DRM is talking about the fibreglass ones, I had one and it cracked just handling it!

Ah, well that makes some sense; never seen these fibreglass Beam ones. If yours is the plastic one Smudgyboy I'll take it off your hands

you can get the fusuno plain fiberglass one from fastlads for £11.99 Fast Lad Performance i have one i'm painting at the mo. obviously they won't take a hard crash but they do take to paint much better

No It was the moulded plastic ones, but the orange and the red ones seam to be the same plastic but are much stronger, I've stapled my orange one together when they have split lol
Like glen said get the fast lads fibreglass ones :-)

The white canopy for the Beam has a lower carbon content, which is why its cheaper.. but can rip easier.

Still takes a reasonable crash..

Later kits came with the high carbon fitted as standard.

Although the plastic high carbon ones are not cheap, they seem to take a crash better than the white version and lots better than the fg canopies.

So if they take the 1st crash then it already cost effective.. because the fg one just cracks..
