  • New Beam maiden flight.

Flew my new Beam yesterday that i bought from Woody (thanks woody) All i can say is what a great little heli, its so much more stable than my Blade 400. Its very quick but very responsive and goes exactly where you ask it too.

Only problem i have with it is it made my far to confident as it flys so well. Which resulted in me trying new things and a crash at the end of the day, luckily its only damaged one blade, feathering shaft, and main shaft.

Cant wait to fly it again, my friend even wants one now and he swore he would never get anything smaller than his Trex 600.

Very indeed. Funny enough i bought used beam! Maided it yesterday with lots of help from Lee...

Today still couldn't get on with it. Came home and tweaked undid parts on head cleaned/refitted. Did a test hover sweet as a nut!! OFF to try one pack...appear all normal to me.

very nice mate, nice static rolls too. my one saturday resulted in a crash. i was a lot worse on the damage though. for some reason my landing skids and tail fin always seem to break and they arent cheap

A brave flight for it's maiden in your hands... hope you and the heli have many great days flying like that.. I would remove the head button though.. just in case the worst ever happens........ It could save the grips from damage

Is the head button a common problem then Mikee?

Never really crashed enough yet to say.. but Rob (Evo-RC) at the Charnmouth flyin was quite insissant that it was removed.. I can see his point.. it's fairly large and would/poss damage the grips in a crash

Just an opinion.. does'nt really serve any purpose other than looks... cos if your that low in an inverted hoover.. it probally all over anyway

you are indeed my friend, I guess it helps having an experienced friend to give you the confidence and help you need.

I've found my Beam flys like a much larger heli, it can be so stable, definitely the best 450 size heli I've flown.

(edit) it is actually full lengh on here but not if you go direct to youtube. (wierd)
