Setting up tail on Beam

Im having a little trouble getting full movment on my tail for the Beam. Id say it stops about 3-4mm on either side. im using a 401 with S9257 travel adjust on DX6i is 125% and still no joy, any ideas? Also im finding the rudder has got to extremes both left and right at only around maybe just over 1/4 stick (in rate mode).

I think thats normal for a 401 and 9257 (hitting the limit at 1/4 stick in rate)
Mine does the same thing anyway.

I guess you need a longer servo arm to get full throw.

EDIT -

The travel ajust setting wont make any difference to the servo movement, have you tried altering the limit pot on the gyro itself?
If you change the travel ajust it will just alter the piro rate. (it will do the same as altering the transmitter end points)

Put your end points back to 100% before you fly
