  • Head speed Q,

    Hi again chaps,

Well today i smashed up two helis, my blade and my little buzz fly !!!
against my wifes advise I went out the back and got through two batts on the Beam with no problem just hovering about and a bit of sidie sidie back an forthy Pheeweeee.

Anyhow, I run a normal throttle curve and the Beam is so precise at this head speed im scared of over cooking it and pilling it into the dirt, id like to build up slowly.

So after all that babbling on i have a question I want to make it less precise if that makes any sense

If i were to lower the head speed i presume i will get a more docile flight sooo can I swap the 14T pinion for a 13T and will I notice much diff if i do this ?

With the blade im happy because i find i can say pull the stick back and its not a sudden movement but more docile giving me time to think of my next move :-) Im over 40 now and the reactions arnt wot they used to be !! and I would like to build up slowly to more faster movements.

    Cheers all

why not try and dumb the cyclics down by adding a little expo or by making the swash not travel as far by dropping your AILE/ELEV swash mix value down? Also just lower your throttle curve a little.

    Cheers

      oh ye :-)

Ive got 20% on the expo already but could try the
swash mix will give it a go..

Edit: at the mo i have
      AILE on -100%
      ELEV on +100%
      Pitch on - 70%

Can you give me a rough set of numbers to try Lee, or anyone. Not sure if i should be going up or down

      cheers Lee

Or by using your ail/elev dual rate---that way you're a switch flick away from it being back how it was before.
