  • Jiberjaba help me please !!! :-)

    Jason, can you please do me a favour please ?

    Ive just got the Beam Bound with the Spektrum and the AR6200

    Can tell me what servos you have going into which channel, before I start faffing about with servo directions etc it would be nice to have a good starting point not sure what goes into the Aux ! ???

    So looking from behind

    Servo front left--channel ?
    Servo front right--channel ?
    Servo middle swash--channel ?

    Esc into throttle
    Gyro into Rudd
    gain wire into gear ?

    Any info regards to the setting too would be greatly appreciated :-) as you can tell im a relative noob so am just hovering about with some lazy eights etc. :-)

    thank you Jason or any one else for that matter that chips in

    Hi Mate, Here are my Beam settings:

    From behind,
    Front left Aileron
    Front Right pitch into Aux
    Rear servo Elevator
    you are correct with the others

    Swash mix =120 3 servo

    Aileron + 60
    Elev - 60
    Pitch - 60

    Reversing

    CH1 norm
    CH2 reverse
    Ch3 Norm
    Ch4 reverse 5,6 & 7 normal

    Hope this helps

      What I do---this works on any radio
      1) Set transmitter to 120 degree mixing.
      2) plug servos into 1, 2,3 & 6
      3) wiggle cyclic in a circle--- the three servos that move are your swashplate servos. Moving the throttle will make the remaining servo move (along with all the others).
      4) wiggle cyclic left/right. Two swashplate servos will move; these are your lateral servos (sides of the swash).
      5) Wiggle cyclic fore/aft. All swashplate servos will move; the remaining one of which is your longitudinal servo (front or back).
      6) Install servos, and use servo reversing to get them moving correctly on collective inputs.
      7) Use swash mix values to make servos move correctly on cyclic inputs.
      HTH.

        Thank chaps thats a big help Im starting to get somewere i think.. however

        Paul, are you on Dx6i and a ar6200 ? I dont quite understand how the channels relate to my tranny

        on my reverse screen on the Dx6i i have

        thro---- aile---
        elev---rudd---
        gyro--- pitc---,

        What values N or R should these be at ?

        Not sure how these work with the cyclic, when i get the throttle to move the three servos in the correct way they are then all over the gaff when moving left right back and forth !!! If i get them moving right for left and right back and forth then they are messed up when throttling up what a mare.

        would i need to change the values for the Ail elev and pitch from + to -

        Will keep playing about

        Cheers again

          Hi Carl,

          Looks like you got a load of good answers... here's what I had mine set to on the DX7 with 6200

          THRO = NORM
          AILE = REV
          ELEV = NORM
          RUDD = NORM
          GEAR = NORM
          PITCH = NORM
          AUX2 = NORM

          SWASH Mix I had
          AILE = 70%
          ELEV = 64%
          PITCH = 67%

          Viewing the heli from the nose in, I had Aile on left, Pitch on right and elevator on rear.

          Hope that helps
          Regards,
