  • 50 Nitro Beam anyone?

This is mainly to the Beam owners as you already know how nice the kits are but anyone else please comment too.

There's talk from the Beam factory that a Beam 50 Nitro is on it's way. Clearly the world economy is not great ATM so I wonder whether they are holding off a little.

Apparently they have already made a prototype and they are going down the ALIGN approach of simply making a bigger looking version of the 450.

I know when Rob initially mentioned this to me my initial reactions was if they make a bigger version with the same amount of metal and styling it will beat the Align and Knight hands down in looks and quality particularly.

Anyway what do you guys rekon?

Heard already from Charlie that there is one already on its way.
My lad ashley is well interested as he loves his beam, even though it has only been hovered once
I am very impressed with the build quality of the E4, very similar to align design principles and the manual is the best i have ever come accross, and that includes align.
I can't wait until it comes out and me, i mean ashley gets one

The more the merrier as far as I'm concerned.
Choice is always a good thing, and quality products should do well!

      Cheers,

i'm getting impatient and i might need to buy the first one i see.

Although not currently looking for a new 50 size nitro, it would certainly be on my list of considerations when the time arises. From what i have seen of the 450 Beam, if it follows suit then it will be up there with the current market leaders

Although i would welcome any competition in the marketplace it would not tempt me away from the 600N no matter how good it was.

Its great to see other companies trying to emulate Aligns success though. and hopefully keep them on their toes.

Sounds nice if it's as good as the E4. But I must resist, looking for a 90 for my next heli.

i'm the opposite. i can't wait to bail out of my 600n. i've not flown it now in about 12-18 months or so and i loathe using it again. it has no concept what a straight line is.

                    bring on the rest.

                    cheers

I'd definitely be interested in buying one if I didn't already have a 600N, assuming it's of similar quality to the E4. All they need to do is make their parts availability on a par with Align and they could potentially grab a big slice of the market I think. Same probably goes for Outrage.

The more on the market the better it can be.

                          Bring it on.

I'd prefer Beam to look at producing a 500 size electric swinging 430mm blades or a slightly larger '30' size electric swinging 500mm blades, these both seem to be quite popular markets at the moment and I'm more likely to buy a heli in this class than another 50 nitro.

I'd have thought that the 50 nitro class was getting a bit crowded by now to make it a worthwhile market, especially as this class seems to be particularly price sensitive. I've no doubt that the Beam 50 would be a very good heli, especially as the Beam E4 is pretty outstanding in a very crowded class of helis.

I would be interested in a new 50 size. I've flown the trex 600 NSP for a year now, and although I love it still, there is some truth in what Raptorheli2 is saying about it. (doesn't go exactly where you point)

I've seen Richies Bean E4 in action and have been around it a fair bit and I can't speak highly enough of it. This weekend I get to have a play with one myself but I know I will love it. So if they bring a 50 nitro out nearly as good, its going to be superb weapon I reckon.

Is there anything official out about it yet Richie? Dates or even pricing. TT or belt?

Looking forward to seeing this one evolve:
                              Cheers Matt
