Batteries and charger for my Beam ?

Hi all... again

Just about there with the Beam. all thats needed now is a couple of batts and a decent charger.

What can you guys recomend ? I know sod all about wiggly amps, its the devils work I tell thee !

Ive got a scorpion 55a ESC and a 222-8 motor. Id like a decent-ish run time and wont be doing any of that crazy 3d stuff for a while :-(

This is the one Buzzfly recomend for the beam ?

I have a couple of flightpower bats and would not buy them again.
From my experience you can't beat Revolectrix from Aurrora although they are quite expensive. Next up would probably be the outrage extreme packs alongside maxpoly.
As far as a charger goes then the cellpro 4S or 10S if you have the budget again from aurrora.

The Aurrora site has two for the 450 class. a 2200mah and a 2100mah ?

You want something in the range of 2100 to 2200 mah (Milliampere hours).
Yes you will need 11.1V (3S).

Flight times are mainly affected by the headspeed you run and how hard you fly. Also how much you aim to the pack. Most of us aim to fly so there is 20% left in the pack. This preserves the life of the pack so for my style of flying I fly for 4:30. But if you are at a lower headspeed and not flying too hard then you ought to be able to fly for 6 mins ish.

Im not sure about the black label 2200 packs as I've not flown them, but them are probably a higher C rating which won't necessarily mean more flight time, just better power during the flight as the pack can supply more amps.

+1 for the Cellpro chargers, my two 4S chargers have been great work horses!

No worries, just wait till gasgas shouts yay or nay then we can sort something out. I actually have four of them and a lipo bag but want to hold onto two of them for something else.

I would add the lipo bag on for an extra fiver if either wants it.
