Interesting question. The rave is similar to it, the Trex 450 is a bit different to even the actual Trex IMHO
I have given up trying to get a model to fly like a real life counterpart. Whilst it is a great sim, it's not a real sim where we should be able to enter the actual characteristics of the kit we have and really model them! It relies on us flying the real thing and then tweaking the sim to suit by some not quite well explained parameters..... would be better if you could just take a Radix blade model, a Knight air frame model, a TT53 engine model and a set of BLS servo models and build your own heli as you have it in real life!.
Have you emailed Phoenix to see if they an to release a Beam model shortly?

Thank you for requesting this model, it has been forwarded to our flight team.
Due to the large number of model requests we receive, we are currently only accepting model requests from customers who both own the model they are requesting and are willing to take the required digital photographs of their model for modelling purposes.
All models should be fitted with the stock canopy (if applicable), and images should ideally be taken outside in sunlight for best results.
Power = 0.56
RPM = 37855
gear ratio = 10.71
rotor dia = 0.7
Head speed gov = 3200
I dont think it rolls fast enough though - them's just the calculated numbers based on teh Scorp -8 and a 3S lipo with a 14t pinion.
Hi guys, I've just ordered a Beam E4 and want to practice on Phoenix as much as I can before I build the kit and the temptation to head to my local RC-friendly park strikes. Basically, I'm looking to minimise the chances of me wrecking it within the first few seconds of being airborne
So I was about to post asking what the closest model is on Phoenix when I came across this thread...but I'm not sure I understand what is being said. From the reply above I was expecting to find a Rave on Phoenix that can be edited with the above settings to behave like a Beam...but I don't see a Rave in the model list. Should these setting be applied to one of the Trex 450's?
By the way, I hope you guys are a patient lot as this will be my first 'proper' kit heli and I just know I'm going to have loads of questions as I embark on the build and selecting all the electrics!!
If you search on here you will be able to find a rave model (assuming it is still available) I haven't been able to get the 450 like a beam for some reason.

Where in SE London are you? You might be not too far from Carl
Thanks for the link m8...I'll take a look in a min. I'm in Sydenham (SE26) and to be honest it would be great to discover that someone on here lives local...not that I'd pester them too much, that is
the rave model that was posted on here was promptly taken down after a couple of hours..
and no doubt somebody at phoenix got their little botty kicked
but read the 1st post and follow the instructions greig gave
