                      Yes.
That is precisely what I have done.
                      Get the IR fitted.
Set all the parameters you want.
                      Remove the IR.
Refit the throttle to the receiver.
                      Go fly.

Hey guys. If you also have a T-Rex 450 then pick up a Beam swashplate for it. My T-Rex had maybe 5 flights on a V2 swash and was already a wobbly mess. I put a Beam swash on it and went from decent hovering to almost hands off in the living room! I made absolutely no changes to the bird other than the new Beam swash. It made a night and day difference! I did do the mods to the swash as outlined in the Finless video on HeliFreak.com. It only took a few minutes and it makes the swash silky smooth and slop free. I'm sure that's why my Beam hovers so well too.

I haven't been able to try either bird anywhere but the living room lately. Wind or health problems always seem to get in the way. Maybe I'll get them out tomorrow.

                            Joe

                            Welcome,

Yes you are correct that the beam swash is a top update for a Rex!

We are also selling the tail gearbox due to the easy of replacing the tail shaft, which is a easy fit and virtually a straight replacement.

PM "jamiem" on here for the info on how easy it was.

The tail servo rod has been popular, if they keep changing all these bits might of been easier to have got a Beam lol!

                              Rob,

As I was building my Beam I kept thinking about just how many parts would work on a T-Rex. The tail box is next for my T-Rex. I'm afraid both T-Rex's are going to end up more Beam than T-Rex!
