I'm a bit suprised you guys are running 14T as on my heli the head speed seems more than adequate and it will do fast tick tocks without much sign of any drop in head speed. Maybe I should try a 14T...
As long as you have some thrust bearings, I would say give 14t a go - it is mad

There is only a few hundred RPM difference in it.

mmm, i dont have any other pinions just now other than what came in the kit. 14 & 16T. I will experiment with the belt tension and backlash to see what i can get out of it.

I have the low voltage cutoff set to 3.2V per cell but i am confused as to how when i plug the battery back into the cellpro after going over my time limit the fuel read say 10% but the voltage was still 11.2V. It seems as if i would have to drain all the mah out to get the voltage to drop to the point where the esc would recognise the low voltage condition.

Current demand will cause the voltage to drop which will recover with time, so I can get my lipo monitor to beep like mad in the first 20 seconds be a prolonged tic-toc as the current demand pulls down the voltage.

Running 14T on mine with a -8 scorp and 55A ESC.
Easily getting 5 mins with around 1500mah going back in my TP2200.
I really like this heli a lot!
