What sort of flight times are people getting?

IM running scorpian 8 motor, 55A esc. 14T pinion at 100% curve.
    Battery is revo 2200 25C.
Flight time is 3:40 on timer and cellpro says avg.22% FUEL when i connect to charge.

That explains why I went for the Outrage on 6s

Mind you I'd do the maths as well as the 10s does tend to tell lies a bit

    2200x80%=1760mAh

What are you putting back in?

I have always wondered whether the fuel gauge is telling you how much total fuel is left or how much usable fuel is left

I have just charged a 4800 pack, which when I connected it to the charger said there was 14% fuel remaining. On recharge, it took 3329ma, which indicates that there was just under 31% remaining. This seems to be the case with all of my packs

The fuel remaining % is only a guide as the battery recovers after sitting a while and/or with temperature changes. My 4S tells me 20% and there is approx 20% remaining

My 10S at 20% has loads left to run! and possibly would be 0%.

Much safer is to keep an eye on the Mha usage. Sounds like your having fun at BD guys

tbh normally I crash long before I need to worry about over discharging my battery, shame though it would be cheaper replacing the battery!

And that is still sticking to the 80% rule? What battery you using?

Thing is with electrics Craig is you need to measure your own Mha usage as it varies hugely depending on what style of flying you are attempting and the flying conditions.

A few examples for you. Lots of sharp stops,Tic Tocs, overpitching from poor Pitch management etc are all very power hungry and flying into wind really pulls down a battery quickly too. I bet you did all of the above today

With electrics its best if you can fly with the wind in front or from behind.

A battery has an easy time when Circuit flying as the model is flying on the disc..i.e the disc effectively works like a plank wing in forward flight.

The beam I think has 150t on the main gear like the trex and with my scorp-8 and 55A esc on 100% flat line pushing a 13T I get and easy 20% with a 4.30 flight on the revo 2100 3 cell. I'm not the most hard 3D flier but its often in a strong and turbulent wind.
I'm a bit suprised you guys are running 14T as on my heli the head speed seems more than adequate and it will do fast tick tocks without much sign of any drop in head speed. Maybe I should try a 14T...

I put back 1.296 Ah on a 2100 3S Revo I think I could have taken out more but the wind got the better of me. I think I have my lipo alarm set for 9.6ish volts, which from experience is about 20% left last time I empirically set it up - not messed around with it too much on the beam.
