Yes - cheaper ownership and initial cost and more durable in most aspects.

Sounds like a Knight / Rex debate

My take is the swash, tail box! just in the easy of changing shafts and the way it autos are better!

Some are buying this, just to update their Rex to a point we sold out! of the swashes.

Flight in the hover feel locked, which is strange as roll rate is quicker, tracks well, sort of flies where you put it, gains are not massive over the Rex but is a plus.

General servo access is easier and layout personally seems nice to work with.

Supplying the Scorp motor and speed controller which is what everyone is buying at the mo as standard kit is a plus..

There lots of older Rex models out there looking old and tried, The Beam E4 are just another opinion on many other options out there in the market place.

Our idea is not to fly flags says how great it is, and see this model its the best..

Some will like it, some will not, its about support of a brand for me and a chat about making it the best spec it can be at the right price.

Running cost are top of the list and thats is top of ours also.

In the end this should ticks the boxes for many, if parts collection from a local shop is important then we cant help there, although we continue to post next day and at reasonable cost!

So parts next day is not a problem!

The difference between the 2 machines is very simple - quality and cost. The Beam is of a much higher quality and will not wear out after 20 flights, unlike the T-rex. The quality of machining really has to be seen to be believed.

They fly very similar when new, although the Beam picks up speed quicker, but the beam is still flying great after 70 flights whereas the T-rex is sloppy as hell after 50, even with new dampers.

The cost of Beam kits and spares are cheaper simply because of the single direct supplier route. Cutting out a distributor results in good savings and what should be a £300 kit is actually much cheaper. The downside is that it will not be found in the model shops but you can't have it both ways.
