You can't beat Align (or clones) when you're in the regular crashing phase. I know it all too well myself as I used to crash my Trex 450SE constantly. By the time I got the Beam I wasn't crashing very often. I've had two crashes with it and the only damage was the usual stuff like boom, main shaft, feathering shaft, servo arms and the Beam's known weak point, the one-way sleeve.Kasama, Minicopter, Henseleit, JR, Shape, Beam

Ok all I need to make a decision wo as I would like to pick a kit up for the weekend hopefully,
Beam E4 SE or Warp 360
I'm not a complete newcomer as I have had a 120SR for a while now and find it pretty easy to keep up and want something a little more challenging / exciting
Both seem to have great reviews and im aware that from time to time i may have to wait for the Beam spares, anyone flown boh?

Dan I would have the warp as its compass first 450 and is going to be around for a long time ;-) 6mm mainshaft, no spinal and slightly bigger canopy.

The warp is a fantastic 450 heli. However I cannot say it isn't without its faults.
My experience has been a tricky tail setup. That may be servo related and I am still to get to the bottom of it. But others have been happy with the tail. Having said that it isn't the best designed pitch slider which has quite a bit of play in it.
Another issue I had was with poorly tapped alloy parts which lead to stripped screws and cross threading resulting in ordering spares before I had even flown it. However mine was one of the first batches and I believe these issues are sorted.
Overall it is a very good heli and in a different class to the align 450 (can't comment in the dominator). Regard the beam I have no experience.

IMG_6358.jpg Thank you for all the good advice, I eventually took the plunge and went for a Beam E4 SE with FBL head, Belt driven tail etc from ERC Market in Belgium, have to say the service was very easy and couple of days later it was on my door step with some free catalogues and a free protective carry bag. Also picked up a DX7s, roll on next pay-day for the rest off bits!!Last edited by DannyMak; 14-02-2014, 07:28 PM.

The SE is extremely nice, I'm sure it will fly really well. Maybe when the Archon 500 comes out it will renew a bit of interest in the Beam brand over here.Kasama, Minicopter, Henseleit, JR, Shape, Beam
