Hi this has prob been covered but can't find it but please help. I have a trex 600 nitro and want to convert it to flybarless so brought the beast x and now need the head. This is my problem the Dfc head is not made for nitro and the shaft is to short found Dfc mainshaft for 600n but the diameter of the shaft is 9mm and the one in the heli is 10mm so what do I buy. Has anyone done this up grade. I did find that some people have cut down and re drilled the hole but that's not easy. So if you have upgraded please help been going mad for days over this thanks a lot Kevin

Afaik all the 600 have the same diameter mainshaft so the 600n dfc will fit

Thanks just that on fast lads they show the diameter as 9mm so am calling them today to find out as well but if you say they are all the same Dfc and non Dfc that is great I can just order the mainshaft as well. thanks again Kevin

i wasnt aware of the different shaft diameter, just ordered a dfc head kit and 600n main shafts off fast lad, i'll get round to looking at it all tonight and let you know if there is any difference.

I fitted a DFC head and DFC 600 n main shaft no problems to my 600nsp no problems.

Hi just spoke to fast lads and they recon the shaft is 10mm and the end that goes through your gear is 9mm so should all be ok. But that would be great if you could let me know when it turns up as I have not ordered yet as fast lads out of stock. thanks again Kevin

Hi,
just checked out the 600n main shaft, it has a 41 mm long, 9mm diameter bottom section and approx 135 mm long, 10mm diameter, top section.
the dfc head kit comes with a main shaft for (i pressume) electric model which is shorter in length.
Probably wont attempt to build mine for a couple of weeks due to work comittments, let me know how you get on.

Hi yes the shaft in the conversion kit is no good for the N I have just purchased the kit plus correct mast after a visit to Raj will post the part number later if you want ?
