700N DFC How do you get zero pitch with the DFC links

The 550e link set up to the swash is different to that of the 700N. The elevator link is basically non adjustable and when set at 90 degrees (for perfect geometry), it sets the height of the swashplate. It is different from the 500e (where you can adjust all 3 linkages to the swashplate).

Are you 100% sure that the elevator servo is at 90* when i first set mine up it un wound off the links almost to get it to zero pitch, but when re looked the servo was off of 90* after i adjusted the elevator servo and put the swash leveller back on to get the swash perfect again the pitch links was fine!

I would check this as mine is fine.

All three of my 700N DFC's have wobbly links. I bought turnbuckles and this help as they are slightly longer.

On the vbar you can adjust 0 pitch by moving swash up, this helps as well but as pointed out already it makes the geometry wrong, only slightly (the swash will still move up and down straight but the feel for negative pitch will be different to the feel for positive pitch due to the cam effect).

So, yes, not a well designed system, however overlooking this one (significant problem) they are my favorite flying heli's.

It's kind of strange because Align helis are actually of very high quality these days but then occasionally they make a real school boy error like this.

There's an Align rep who posted in the thread below saying that the solution is to use the plastic links from HN7122 which are longer than the DFC version.

I couldn't get 0 Degrees so just settled with 0.2 instead and you dont feel the diffrence

Same issue here with only a few mm of thread in the DFC ball link.
I have used a slightly shortened QUK ball link along with a QUK 4mm ball
All now spot on.
