  • 700n DFC

I've noticed there is slight movement in the DFC head that came as part of the new kit, ive had it apart now several times checked that everthing is sitting right in the head and have tightened it right up but still have slight movement on the blade grips.

The heli flys fine and i wouldn't have brought it up but recently got a second hand 700n v2 with the DFC head and there is no movement at all, it has been fitted with after market dampers though.

Any one else had this problem?

I have the same problem as you its the DFC dampers are slightly out of tolerance, i will be trying out the new LYNX ultra dampers which look to be an improvement over the align with a plastic bush and o ring

let us know how you get on with these chris, i nearly went with some of these but didnt because of the headspeed they were reccommended use for. Thought they were more suited to the e

Will do Tony i havnt yet got any but might well try some out soon. I was also hesitant in giving them a go when they suggested 2300rpm and yes seems suited for leccy but i see no reason why they wouldnt work on nitro as the align DFC dampers are both the same for the e and n versions!!

I've had the same issue on my DFC, although it took a few flights before i noticed it. I took head apart and put one small shim each side between the grip and damper, no more movement and is now as it should be, i'm on stock dampers still.

i have also found this on both my 700e and n dfc after a few flights, think the dampers may be the cause so may try some new ones

What sized shims did you use?? May give this a try before changing dampers

                        Chris

I just spoke to Raj and got him to send me a couple of 8mm shim kits, you have a variety of sizes then. This worked for me and have zero play either way now.
