  • 700n dfc linkage length

    evening,
just about to finish setting up my 700ndfc,is there a known problem with the elevator links?manual states 92mm hole to hole but this seems like 10mm to long to me,unless im missing something, cant for the life of me see how 92mm is going to work, any one else have this problem, havnt even got to the engine yet and this nitro(first)is allready causing problems....
    cheers

yes tony, that was my first thought,if i had it the wrong way it would possibly work, unless the manual is incorrect for the servo?

just measured ball to ball @ 84mm roughly, manual states 92,its been suggested to just cut a few mm off each side of the linkage rods, should be allright taking 3-4mm off leaving roughly 6mm of thread, thoughts?

Have you tried winding the bal links on to the max? whats the shortest you can get the links without cutting?
Im sure rapidgaz had the same problem but cant remember what he did to rectify it. there are a couple of misprints in the manual so id just do what you have to to get the correct length rods.

When setting up your gov bear in mind the DFC gear ratio is 8.0 and not 8.2 as stated in the manual. Another missprint

Were the 2 swash links correct as per the manual? Plus or minus I guess to match the elevator. .
