Dfc nitro canopy

Hi all,

Anyone know if the regular 700 nitro canopy (v2?) fits on the new 700 dfc nitro?
If so, any pics, or does it look the same as if mounted on a v2?

No, Andy already tried it Ryan, sits far too high. You would have to do some work with the dremel

As far as the mounting holes go, its a perfect fit, however, it is tight across the top. A mate has made up some form of spacers to widen the ordinary cano at the back, and apparently that works. Apart from that, it is shorter at the rear as well, ie not quite as sleek. But beggars can't be choosers, as they say..............

Really?? I love mine and think it gives good visability. Great shape tho, you will jus have to wait for fusuno and align to make more cano designs for the 700n dfc

ive got my V1 night rigged one to fit my DFC Ryan, as Buckers says holes are spot on but I had to extend the rear mounts by about 10mm each side, just used a brass blade bolt insert and a longer bolt. It will rub on the main gear if you don't extend them. the front ones could be extended too but i havent bothered as im using QUK screws so just pulled it in with them.
You can actually buy longer Align canopy mounts that are 10mm longer than the stock ones but they have been out of stock for a while.

I was also wondering about diff canopies but I guess my question has been answered!

Btw Ryan, I see an n9 in your sig. I sold my n9 with a few canopies and that was one of them. There can't be many about so maybe that is my old airframe? small world if so.

It was an early new N9 and I had that canopy done for me, with real raptors slapped on. I did sell it on in pristine condition though, after Andy lost the dealership, thanks to the aussie! I do miss that heli and canopy paint design, I had most my helis painted like it. (Dokey on rr)

well i ended up with that canopy in rough condition as a beater. my old N9 and your canopy ended up in germany and i'm sure it is still going. built like a brickhouse.
