  • Compatible lipo for RCE-B6T 2 in 1 regulator?

I have a Trex 600 nitro v2 limited edition with a RCE-B6T 2 in 1 regulator, the regulator has got a female JST connector with fine wires, is it save to change the JST connector to a Deans and connect a 5000 mAh LiPo battery to it considering the wires on the LiPo are a lot thicker than the ones on the regulator :/ if not how would I go about putting a 5000mAh battery through the regulator?

    Thanks, Mike.

I have EC3s in my tool box so the fine wires of the regulator to the thick wire of the LiPo is ok? its not going to damage the regulator?

        i would think a 2s 5000mah lipo would be a tad to big.? i only use a 2200mah on my 700

I use 5000 on all my helis I find the outrage 5000 balance it perfectly it saves having to charge it so much...the 2-1 reg is handy for the glow starter but the switch suffers from the nitro after a while...I had one fail on me so now I do not use them.....

You should be OK. The current drawn by the regulator is a function of the servo/electronics usage, not the thickness of the wires. The wires on the regulator are too thin I agree, but that will affect the resistance of the connection only.

I soldered a deans connector to my align regulator and connect it regularly to thick battery cables, no problem so far. Just make sure you have a proper solder joint, you don't want it to go loose while in flight!

Thanks everyone I have soldered a Ec3 connector to the regulator wires got a really good solder joint seems to work really well so far regulator feels a lil warmer but not hot so should be fine I will see how I get on with the thunder power 2250mAh battery see how long it lasts if it still not long enough I will get a 5000mAh battery
