700XN Throttle return spring. Is it possible? Is it a good idea? Will it cause any issues for the throttle servo?
The servo in question is an Align DS530 Digital Servo.

I would like a fail safe to kill the throttle even if the throttle servo dies or loses power.

Many swear by them Chris and a good idea as a failsafe. Can't see it causing the servo much harm but it's a helluva spring to return a servo with a short arm servo horn. Maybe think about an extension on the side you're putting the spring to give the spring a bit of mechanical advantage.
