700N Upgrades and setup?

So to go along with a FBL upgrade on my original 700 are there any other upgrades worth while?
Helical cut gears or just M1 Maingear which I have just not fitted it yet?

Is there any other upgrades considered essential?

As for setup and this is just a general question do people still use Governors in nitro helis? If so which one? I still have a throttle jockey pro fitted to my 700.
Same with the Carbsmart do people still use these or something similar as they are not produced any more?

If you're using a VBar or similar with inbuilt governor I'd use that rather than the Throttle Jockey, M1 main gears, helical are quieter. Carbsmart, wouldn't worry about it.

Should I remove the carbsmart fitted? I never really saw the benefit but it was the latest fad at the time and I tried it.
As for the FBL Controller it will be very similar to the Vbar but a fraction of the cost but don't think it supports the GOV function so what other options? Unless someone can confirm if it does or doesn't support this function.

Carbsmart idea was fine just the sensor was a pain. You could leave the servo attached and drive it off a channel so you can richen and lean depending on what's needed. What flybarless unit is it? If it doesn't have governor then leave the TJP in place, great governor.

I dare not mention the name of the FBL Controller but it comes from china and has a K in the name. ;-)
Actually need to ask someone in the know if it does or doesn't have a Gov and if it does how to use it.

If its the full size one then yes it will have gov as I've used one in the past.

Its a mini |< Bar I have but apparently 1 wire soldered over 2 pins makes it work with full gov. I won't need it for my Goblin 380 but when I fit one to my 700N once I convert it to FBL I'll try it out then.

There is no nitro governor on the mini V, maybe electric can be got this way but not nitro. What you can do with the mini K bar is remap one of the outputs to drive the headspeed output to the TJP

Ah after checking it out on v-bar and banggood etc for my 700Nitro I'll need the K-bar with separate sensor. This has full governor mode. I'm looking to clean up the electrical installation.
Currently I have a Futaba 601 gyro,throttle jockey pro,carb smart and a flightpower bed with a 2s2p Lipo.
So you can imagine it's pretty busy with wires and boxes everywhere oh I forgot the obvious spektrum rx and satellite .

You don't the mini will work, you just need to leave the TJP in place and change the config in the mini. The full size is a better option though
