  • Trex 700N Tail spindle failure

Thought i would share this failure with everyone,my tail spindle snapped in half during flight and caused crash ,i know the 700e tail spindles were snapping and advised to change to later ones but i was told it was not necessary for the 700n due to lower tail speed, but obviously they were wrong

Yep. Seen it in person at my club 2 years ago on a 700N. It was the stepped down tail shaft that was the problem.
Current fleet: Goblin Thunder Sport (700), Trex 700L, Logo 600, Specter 700, Henseleit TDR, V-Baaa control.
Next heli: I have pretty much everything I want. Maybe I'll upgrade some electronics or something.
