700N DFC Regulated or Unregulated Setup

Hi,

I'm looking at ordering a 700N DFC kit with an AR7200BX, and I'm looking for some advice/opinions on Rx power and remote glow.

I'll be running 3 x DS615's and 1 x DS655 unless someone can convince me it's worth going HV?

The simplest setup would be to use a 2S LiFe Rx battery unregulated and a Gryphon GAB-5500 for glow, any downsides to running this setup?
I'd want to use a switch, I guess I would connect the switch to the data/bind port on the AR7200BX?

Or I could go with a 2S/3S with a regulator and a Gryphon GAB-5500, but it's more cabling and more cost.

I'm building a 700N DFC at the moment and going my usual 2S HV servo route; take care though if you go for servos other than the align ones, as the two front cyclic servos don't have any depth to spare, I'm having to make some servo lug spacers to get my MKS ones in.

Glow wise to start with I'm just going with the old fashioned clip on single cell glow driver…..

Not a DFC but a V1 700 and use LiFe without switch, not sure how you would do that unless you used one of the emcotec dubries. I use XT60's straight through and got magnetic catches on the cano so no real hardship to remove.

As for glow I use an RCA socket and plug from Maplins, single lead with crock clip to plug and a little bracket from the engine mount bolt, cheap as chips, and more reliable that a typical remote glow. Not used a switched remote glow for years. The glow solution will cost you less that £8 and last for ever

Yes, 2200 2S Lipo into a V-bar silver line with HV servos is my usual 700 setup.
