  • trex 700n dfc vs previos version (not the head itself but the heli)

hi all ive been thinking 1 day if I can afford it I will get the nitro dfc. but in the mean time I have converted my old standard nitro i.e I have gearing tail and head.

what is the benefit of the new 1. I know its supposed to be more agile being a bit slimmer but ive been told by couple random straingers that have had both that the old 1 was better!

think they said it was cos if it crashes it dies (so does the old 1 if you doit hard enough lol) but also slight rough landings can also break frames and it has too much flex in frames that clutch rubs frames and some times the fan.

I know I might of answered most of the above whilst asking I just wanted to know what you lot think?

especially if the above is fubar lol I am happy with the older model but 1 day will get another just cant justify the new dfc (which I had my heart set on)after hearing the the coments (and no they not members on hear) cant remember the first and the second was some 1 I got a plank off of on bmfa

    all the very best terry

I had the old one for years and the main frames are bullet proof !
about 2 months ago I had a main blade failure and destroyed everything ( apart from frames ) so after pricing up I decide to buy the new one .
New one the frames are a bit narrower and yes they have a weak point ( photo )
i know someone who broke the frame at the weak point and is still flight it broken and can't tell the difference !
align have done a quick fixes ( photo )
anyway new one flys really well I think it's a little lighter and with the different gearing I run more head speed ,
so the new is a bit quicker
Love the smell of 2stoke in the morning
