  • 700 'nodding' ??

T-Rex 700 gasser flybarred - had a blade touch when I landed on an uneven surface and destroyed main blades and tail blades, chipped a tooth on tail drive (chassis end).

Replaced tail drive with upgraded gears and matching gear on auto unit, both sets of blades and main shaft (just in case - didnt appear to be bent.)

The new gear on the auto unit catches slightly on the Lynx clutch and I have eased it slightly by sanding the bottom of the main gear and it just touches the clutch very lightly but I figured it would wear itself in. (It is doing - a little white dust around the area).

    BUT

It now nods when hovering - just gently forward and back. A bit like having the gains too high on a flybarless model - but this is flybarred!

Any ideas anyone?? Doesn't appear to be the feathering shaft - if I take one blade off and turn the shaft the other blade doesn't move.

I am running 1850 head-speed and it didn't do it before the problem landing - the blades are balanced and tracking is good.
