All I can say is that I've owned both the Knight and Trex 600E and had problems with both models after hard abuse.
Mechanically they are both sound and safe machines, you will always get 1 or 2 manufacturing defects in a model but these can be few and far between...
They will only start falling apart and failing when the owner doesn't look after and maintain the model...
I think you are being a bit unfair on the Knight and have been on some other products on the forum but generally you do get on the right track in the end. Although I think that if you have a problem with a product and the manufacturer / distributor is contactable it would be better in the long run to talk with them before posting...They will quite often sort out the problem with you...
