Bit disappointed by that swash though. That should have been sorted before it went to market.

Are you reporting that back to Align Ian?

    Cheers

    Hey John.

Lol, you liking the look of these machines by the sounds of it? Its a nice one, just you wait till I pop a completed picture up ;-)

Yeah I to was a bit disappointed by the swashplate also, it wasn't a problem I expected to see after seeing this design come onto the market.
Yes, my plan is to shoot Kieth@Robbe an email and see if he'll report it back to Align for reference. I was also going to chat to the Osbourns to see if they'd spotted it on their 700E DFC thats being built. Having said this they've been using this new swash on their current 700's, so I wonder if its even been seen there to.
With the small amount of material removed, the swash can now hit the mainshaft at full deflection in all axis's, with no pressure on the plastic links.
I'll keep you posted if anything gets said.

Dont see it as an issue, you can get crazy flip and roll rates with a fbl setup with nothing like full swash deflection, none of my helis are setup with the swash getting anything near maximum possible deflection.

That is normal, any courier (as opposed to a normal mail service) will arrange prompt clearance through customs, but they also process VAT charges for all packages as well.

You trade the speed of delivery against the 100% certainty of having to pay VAT if it is due.

Looks like they are still using the "Cheesium" screws on the build.

Other than that it looks a nice heli.

                  Hey All.

I managed to maiden mine yesterday and all I can say is wow! It flew great stright off my work bench, I carried over most Vbar settings from my old 700E, the only thing I had to do was knock the tail gain down a few percent to stop it wagging in sideways flight. Think this is due to the faster tail servo over the previous BLS251 on the old machine.

Once built the machine looks smart, but in the air it's a mean yet good looking model.
Seems to have a distinct low drone to it, something I'm putting down to the slant cut gears and the new more enveloping canopy.
One observation I did see during setup over the old machine was that I was able to increase the collective and cyclic throws in the Vbar software, not too sure why as was expecting to have to lower them with the DFC head & grips, especially as the swashplate balls appear to be the same distance apart. I will investigate when I am next to my old one again so I know for sure where the changes are.

Overall though I'm impressed, just need to get out some more :-)

Cannot wait to see one in the air doing some slick 3d moves.

Pretty much built my airframe now,the quality of Align kits just keeps steadily improving with every new model.

I like the frame design, the fit and finish is superb, machining is of high quality,i like the new tail control design, the servo arrangement is Mikado like and really good, hats off to Mikado with their design, the chunky servo to swash links look good also,as does the DFC swash.

This design layout is how the 600EFL Pro should have been done,i must confess im a bit of an Align fan,i will certainly never be capable of pushing them to 10% of their capabilty or getting anything like the best out of them with my flying standard,so take it with a pinch of salt if you will but this is one smart looking bit of kit.

Looking forward to my first model running direct off a 2s Lipo which will be Gens Ace,running V bar and Jive ESC.

The brushless HV Align servos look good also, overall a desirable model which follows the general trend in improvements Align keep introducing.

This is definitely the best offering Align have made so far, certainly the one that ticks all the boxes for me personally.
