  • Align 700X price?

Just found the new 700X for pre-order at Amainhobbies.

    It's $1199.99 for the kit.

I make that out to be £900! Okaaaayyyy, that's a bit of a jump from the current Align 700 kit at £550.

The complete 'Super Combo' package with everything but the batteries is listed at $1599.99 (£1200 excluding VAT) which seems a bit more realistic. If the kit price is genuine you would be better off buying the 'Super Combo' and selling the electronics. :https://www.hobbytown.com/trex-700x-...0e23xt/p525295

For what it's worth Hobby town in the US are listing the same kit price $1199.99... so if they have just made up a daft number they both made up exactly the same number!

I was hoping they would sell a 3 blade option as well. But at that price, might have to look elsewhere.

Looks a bit ambitious to me. A Carbon Edition Goblin is $50 cheaper ($1150) with blades, and the Logo 700 is $200 cheaper at $999, also with blades.

If I were in America, I know which one wouldn't be getting my money out of those three.
Current fleet: Goblin Thunder Sport (700), Trex 700L, Logo 600, Specter 700, Henseleit TDR, V-Baaa control.
Next heli: I have pretty much everything I want. Maybe I'll upgrade some electronics or something.

I'm sure it's a mistake. The 'Super Combo' package is priced (in the US pre order listings) slightly cheaper than the previous Trex 700L 'TOP'. So it makes no sense that the kit only version would be nearly twice the price of the old one. If it is right then they aren't going to sell many in basic kit form, that's for sure!

Best wait till they show up in the UK before jumping to any conclusions.

Its just an expensive hobby , if you cant afford it dont buy it . But im sure that a lot will . £1200 for a full combo lets break it down compared with the cost of the new Logo 700 fully built using the electronics I've chosen . The KT 120 pro will be ample for my sort of flying , you may need to go to a 160 Kosmik if your a hard 3D pilot etc so add another £100

Logo 700 airframe and blades £839
                  Kontronik 750-50 XL motor £344
                  Kontronik heli-jive pro 120 £399
Servos not decided yet but and least £400
                  Mikado NEO £183 + £70 pro software

                  Total £2235 approx

And your moaning about what price ?

I think the surprise was the price for the barebones kit Rob, as in jamies first post, £900 for a Trex 700 is silly money based on what they've done before. Align have traditionally been based in the bargain basement mid to low priced area, which is why the have a loyal following. Now as has been corrected this was for the combo then it's of course not bad and they remain in the area we expect.

Combo looks super cheap at that. Doubt retailers will buy bare kits at that if that is the case I'm sure proactive shops like Aligntrex will offer kits with buyback option and you'll see the bare kit work out more reasonable.

I guess prices will naturally go up I've always bought servo's from RCJ. As an example BLS275 cost around £75 to your door now £115 before duty due to the poor exchange rate.

You can take a proactive approach as well when sales come up buy vouchers and pay cash save yourself 13% then buy the kit of your dreams!

Seems they do include an 850MX motor for that price. Oh, and it's $1,150.99, not $1,199.99. On the Align Taiwan website, if you scroll down to the bottom it lists the 850MX under accessories and it's missing from the list of equipment required for assembly.

I have literally just finished building mine after buying a low use 2nd hand 700 carbon airframe but all brand new components and I have still spent roughly £1530 (xnova,edge160,align hv servos,brain2 + bec, optiguard, sats etc)
I didnt want to buy another align but I could have had a brand new one for less if I did lol
