Align 700e maingear and pinion size??

I have a 700e which is a conversion from nitro to electric with the g force kit, today whilst doing a piro flip it made a strange noise and the power went
down to almost nothing so I landed/autoed it in and the motor was really hot. I tried to spool back up and bedore it got to 500 RPM it suddenly stripped the maingear good style!
Before the gear went it did sound not it's usual self.
After disasembly I can't find any fault at all with the setup ( everything is free) I even checked the motor bearings. I am now thinking of going to a helical gear setup. It currently has a 164t maingear and
17 pinion. I would like to run 3000 rpm head speed! just kidding! however 2000 head speed would be nice!

Can anyone suggest the best main gear & pinion to go with?

Would help if you give use your motor spec ie kv and is it 12s I'm assuming?

I would go for a m1 type gear, as your nitro main gear is used to 3ish bhp. So either a 112 or 115t from later electric and either 12-13t motor pinion depends on esc type? and if using gov to maintain your 2000rpm hspeed

I have a castle ice2 hv and a YEP 120 HV either should govern just fine. just need a slight overhead with the castle as with the current ratio the castle software dosent work @ 2000 rpm due to
the gear ratio. I currently have 164 on a 17 pinion.

Thanks for the help guys. I have gone for;

CNC Slant Thread Main Drive Gear set/112T H70021

which has the 12t pinion in aswell. Should do 2k no problem, although I normaly fly @1900.
