  • do servo gears wear out?

I've developed some slop in my Align Bl815H cyclic servos. They're six months old with no crashes. Could the gears just be worn out? I do fly this heli a lot, 3-4 days in a week.

And it's affecting all three servos. I guess that answers the question really.

Metal gears do wear out. It takes a lot of flights, but flying that much, it looks likely.

Man, I wish I could fly that often. I'm lucky to fly 3-4 times a month, not a week.
Current fleet: Goblin Thunder Sport (700), Trex 700L, Logo 600, Specter 700, Henseleit TDR, V-Baaa control.
Next heli: I have pretty much everything I want. Maybe I'll upgrade some electronics or something.

I thought I would check. It is £60 though for a new set. It's tempting to wait until I next crash it.

I would ask is it bad enough to affect flight and do you feel it. If not leave them as they are, my 8915's have loads and it doesn't affect it in any way. If a gear set is £60 how much is a new servo, if the wear is down to the gears then other stuff is getting the same amount of work
