Great review Ashley. Just finished building mine. Found similar screws without loctite. Looks great now its finished though.

One thing that nobody has mentioned in reviews is that the flybar is much longer on the V2 than the old SE.

Looking forward to test flying, but the wind is peaking at 30mph here - My old SE flew in 20 mph, but I think 30 is pushing it for first flight!

Just had an eventful first and short flight with mine

Hovered in the garden for about 5 seconds, landed and adjusted some Tx bits, took off again and because i never bothered with the canopy the Lipo fell out of the front nosing it into the ground

Tail blade got toasted but everything else is good,i checked the feathering shaft etc and then hovered it again with the canopy on and it was looking pretty good

Gonna recharge and take it out later today hopefully,i am going up to see a friend in Devizes tonight and fly at Keevil tomorrow,i hope to have this in one piece still to demo for him..

I have 1 nitro heli with me and 3 leccys

So first impressions for crashability nose into the ground from 5 feet are pretty good

How much movement should the blades have in the grips, mine are as tight as hell ?

How would you secure it, using the nice little sticky velcro pads and strap they give you in the kit by chance:-)

And regarding the blades they are tight in the grips but work well like this

                  Cheers

They are virtually unmovable , even without tightening the bolt's , I was thinking if they are not in straight there would be problems . Maybe I am used to my lama's loose blades

                    So this is ok ?

                      Hi

Certainly mine were tight but how tight is tight is difficult to know with out having your model here.
If you are concerned about it then very lightly sand the two faces of the blade root until the fit is better, there should always be some friction there so don't go too far.
We should only be talking about removing about 0.2mm off each side so not something which will weaken the blade.
If in any doubt about doing this get some one else to check it out or send the blades back to your supplier.

                      Cheers

                        Thanks Bob.

Excuse my ignorance but do you work in or own a shop?

Have you got the V2 supplied with woodies or the carbon blades?

I have the CF bladed V2 and it is fine, but the woodies on my last SE needed adapting a little to fit in the grips which I expect will the same with the new one as they look like the same wood blades and the grips are the same size.
                          Clones are bad

I got the CF blades with my V2 that are very tight, I could only just push them into the grips .

When they are in , is there supposed to be any movement at all? When the bolts are tightened how much do you torque them and will this stop the blades moving anyway?

Generally, you should be able to fold the blades out straight and then hold the heli on its side and give it a quick thrust downwards followed by a quick stop - they should move, but not clatter together.

                              Cheers,
                              Rob
