Hi all,
Well I finally received all the parts necessary to finally get my new (2nd hand) Trex 450 Pro DFC into the air.
After a few hours figuring out how to wire up the 3GX, AR6200 + Sat, to go with my DX6i, I then moved onto watching the 3GX Setup videos from FreddyCanFly on Youtube.
And well, to be honest. I'm getting really peeved with it.... Everytime I go to remove a part so that I can route a wire, or get better access to a servo horn or something. Or remove the head so that I can level the swash or something... I'm getting stripped screw after stripped screw. It's really p*ssing me off!
I guess this is the danger of 2nd hand, but I didn't expect it after I had been told how this Heli had been very well looked after, (doesn't look that way to me... )
It's sitting there, headless, with a ratsnest of wires and I'm pretty annoyed I've spent close to £500 on everything and don't feel like I've got a quality piece of kit.
I was hoping to have it flying by the end of the week and enjoy myself over my christmas break but this doesn't look to be the case.
With the amount of stripped screws I'm seeing, I'm thinking about ordering this...
Rc Screwz Align 450/Pro DFC Stainless Steel Screw Kit alg019 Model Helicopters
And a better set of hex drivers, grease, loctite, and completely rebuild the thing myself.
Perk me up guys
It's Christmas...
