What's the difference ?

Hi guys , I was thinking of getting a kit and doing my own build , while looking I'm faced with not knowing the difference between 450 v2 and a 450 SE v2 , could any tell me what the SE may stands for ?

The sev2 is discontinued, it was belt drive and had stacked frames.

So in all fairness the 450 v2 is the one to go for as parts are available etc etc ?

The v2 is a pro. It has a one set of frames (very strong) tt driven tail. The cyclic servos are 'direct to swash' and the tail servo now sits I between the frames as opposed to on the boom as the se was. It's a cracking little Heli, cheap to crash and spares are easily sourced

Cheers don that has cleared a lot up for me , but on the v2 I'm looking at the tail servo still is on the tail boom , it's only a cheap kit of eBay tho as I don't want to spend to much just yet !

I started out down that road after ignoring my mate's advice and after the head flew apart (made from cream cheese...) and the tail disintegrated (even softer cream cheese...) and half the screw heads rounded off as they were made out of butter.....I replaced with pucker Align components (some second hand) so that the only things left of the original are the metal frames and the skids (which are brilliant as they're so soft and bouncy that they don't break!!)

Before anyone has a go at me for being too negative....you can be lucky and get a good one but it's a bit of a lottery. You can go the cheap route quite happily but more often than not you end up chasing problems. In my opinion you're better off buying a second hand real Align off here with better quality components in than buying cheap new equipment.

Better clones are Tarot but they are a bit dearer, they are good quality for a clone

Okay i think my mind is made up to go with a real Align 450 as I can see me spending more money on crap than getting into the air

I made the mistake on going for a HK clown , looking at it now its only the frame left everything else is align parts .... Go with the align from day one !
