New unfinished trex 250 problem.

Hello again.

Ive just finished off my first build. All went to gether ok. Its when i power up the heli and spool up, it seems that thr motor cant turn the gear and chuggs. Any ideas? I made sure that the belt isnt too stiff. It cant be the esc, its new?

It could be the mesh too tight, or potentially an ESC programming issue. What ESC are you using, what motor, what flight controller or receiver, and what battery?

Have you tried the motor with it disconnected from the main gear?

I would go for the motor meshed too tight with the Main gear…. If the meshing is ok;
1)loosen the motor and move away from the main gear
2) spin the rotor head by hand, check all spins very free including the tail… no binding anywhere. if all is free;
3) tighten the motor away from the main gear then power up and listen / look to see if the motor is running up ok. If it is not;
4) Check motor connections with ESC.
5) Check ESC Programming.
6) Check motor bearings.

Blue or yellow esc...? also have you done throttle calibration with esc so your esc knows your tx end points

I give up, ive boxed it all up and going to put it in thr bin. Ive tryed with so many helicopters and failed. This one is now in bits. If someone can take this off my hands and build it, or its going in the bin. I can even send it anywhere you like (

Have you got the motor wires in so the motor spins in the correct direction.
Try swapping any 2 of the wires.

Could be wrong but if the motor is going the wrong way it still turns but just slips on the one way bearing
so the motor would still spin up but the blades wouldn't turn

Some of us find it a bit harder and more frustrating than others when it comes to building helis. Fortunately there are a lot of good and kind folk on this forum who are willing to encourage and give help.
