I'm fed up with the unexpected tail blowouts on my 250 & you never know when its going to do it, I've used Vbar, Beastx, Gpro so feeling poorly over the weekend gave me a chance to have a good internet search for options & found a few others have opted for the MKs DS95i & reports of rock solid tail so ive got one being delivered tomorrow but undecided which fbl unit to use..? at the moment the Gpro is back on it but simple enough to swap

jr 3500g was a good servo for 250 also. in my opinion would put vbar on off the controllers mentioned.

Never thought about my 450, not that I have an issue but saying that it's not brilliant so if it works on my 250 defo get one for 450.

With that tail servo you'll probably find that all the FBL units hold the tail pretty darn well now. On the vBar don't forget that there's a tail setting for micro models, that seems to work well on the 250.

She's all setup now with the DS95i so with a bit of luck I might get a chance to fly her tomorrow.

Strange problem, im sure i checked everything was working fine last night got to the field this eve & the right cyclic servos not working with the Vbar, shot back home to plug into the pc & all the setting are correct so that's very odd anyhow desperate to want to fly it I quickly fitted the Gpro then back to the field & had 6 awesome flights with the new tail servo its amazingly solid control, now back home ive just swapped back to the Vbar & same servo won't work, anyone with ideas why...?

Align swash servos ?

I've seen this happen on T-Rex 450s [DS4xx] and 500s [DS5xx] with Skookums

It's like the servos don't initialise correctly, and strangely, it's often the R/H one.

I usually found that powering up again worked - but you maybe are seeing something different.

Sometimes it seemed related to which BEC was used.

In my case, I switched to MKS swash servos.

or just use the gpro which seems to be good?

As ScallyBert says, you can sometimes get a servo fail to initialise if enough current doesn't come through during the boot up phase. If you unplug the LIPO, then plug it in again - does it work then?

I must of plugged unplugged power at least a dozen times & each time wouldn't work, what im going to do is enjoy the weekend with the Gpro on it & then in the week swap to the Vbar & try it again.
