possible blown esc

hey anyone got any ideas on thiss latest problem ive got please. last flight i had an issue with front tail drive gear giving up (the white 1) with a loss of tail. well thats what i thought replaced with new type black gears front and the rear one at the same time no point strippig downn again, ive noticed that the tail servo is seized solid so maybe the gear was not the problem to start with. cannot move at all got a new one in parts box). but this is the problem that im faced with now, connected flight bat to see if tail servo reset itself but the heli wont initialise esc keeps beeping and all servos are going crazy, while esc is going beep beep beep over and over. after a minute i pulled batery conector apart, the esc was red hot. could not touch it at all, it was that hot. tried it again after it cooled, same happened 3 times. is my esc nackered its only had 8 flights tops, or is it some thing else more drastic ?????

What ESC is it? The standard Align combo one?

Also try unplugging all the servos and see if it still does it with just the ESC plugged in.

if you remove the red wire from esc plug, then connect a seperate power supply to rx and try esc without bec then see how it works on bench. or maybe try reprogram

cheers guys ill give it a try, but why would the esc get so hot in such a short period of time its not like i was pitch pumping it or anything? yes it is std RCE-BL15X the yellw one

that what we are trying to find out, if esc is fine with by disabling it there is a problem with built in bec. process of elimination.

Hi, I had a similar problem on my Align 450 fitted with the Align esc. I had a small crash when the aileron servo locked up, I thought it was the servo and changed it. It flew well the next flight but as I was about to finish with it the servo locked up again, this was the new servo. I then noticed that the other servos were twitching and wouldnt respond properly.

The esc was also hotter than it should have been after a short hover. Changed the esc and all was cured.

If I remember corretly t was problems with brownouts on the combo kit esc, the bec was failing. I got mine replaced foc
