Trex 600 nitro to electric conversion

I have a Trex 600N and i was wondering if it can be converted to electric. If so what parts would i need.
This is a flying model so i have all the servos, blades, flybarless controller, head, Etc

I think there were kits about at one point to do this, but third party rather than align.... I did a bit of looking into it before deciding it was more trouble than it was worth, selling the 600n and getting a 600e...

If you wanted to do it the 'proper' way, to end up with a 600e that looks as it should do, then you would probably be better off looking for a second hand airframe IMO.

As conversions go it's one of the easiest because you have a large main gear and good frame spacing. I know there are some threads on Runryder about converting the 600n and I'm pretty sure someone on here was doing one a few months ago.

Basically what is needed is a motor mount, motor and pinion and ESC. I think there is a motor mount that will fit pretty much straight on (I'm sure the frames will need drilling but I think there's a mount that fits the spacing between the frames, possibly the 700e mount)

suppose depends on what your trying to do but it can be as straight forward gutting the heli out and drilling a couple of holes to fit a motor mount and maybe a some shims.

makes a big improvement IMO.

Nooby what motor mount did you use to fit the frame i don't mind drilling it.
I just want to try an electric 600 as i am having trouble trying to get my Skookum 720 to work, (Bailout) properly with the os50 that i have in it.
There is too much vibration.

i think it's just a stock 600e mount, it came with the motor which i bought 2nd hand.

some people use 1mm shims on each side to space it out but mine was fine.

Most of the bits you already have you can use.

1) boom backwards the
2) swash upwards the same
3) skids down the same.

I think it would be easier to do a 6s rather 12s conversion - just like the 600esp.

12s is easy in ESP 2x6s 2600mah packs 4025 560 motor cc80hv job done

Hehe, yes the 600 has always been a good model had one for 3 years, but bit of a pack killer, good on 8s awesome on 12

As Brian says the 600 is a good heli but it does kill packs on 6 cell. I have one and its mental but all 9 of my 5000 6s are puffed

Hear what your saying, but he was killing that lol and bogging motor and esc was proberly like a charcoal brick after. 12s more power, torque and efficient.
