Recommend me a BEC for my 500

Does anyone have any ideas what BEC to buy for a 500 Pro, I am running a stock 500 Pro but using a Vbar Full size and Genaces 2600 mah batteries.
I was looking at this one but I really have no idea

Nowt wrong with the castle Pro. Im using one on my Logo700 and Rex700 and have been for sometime with no issues. They're running at 6s by the way.

Any thoughts on a Hercules BEC, have heard of quality issues with the CC stuff in the past.

I have a BEC pro on my 500. It sits nicely on the side of the frame with a velcro strap holding it.

The BEC pro's rep has improved since it's minor redesign. If you're running on 6S, you should have no trouble.

Western Robotics stuff it's top notch, but even that isn't bullet proof. Only a couple of months ago one of the guys on the RCHN podcast had his fail and it ruined all his futaba servos. Thankfully it was on the bench at the time.

Interestingly, the BEC pro has a clamping diode on the output, so if it does fail, it shouldn't fry your servos.

Stupid question here, do I need a seperate 2s lipo for the bec or does the 6s lipo charge the bec internal battery, I was looking at this bec

Thunder tiger bec 8 a bit bigger than CC because pro.but an awesome unit and at a reasonable price.

No not stupid but, BEC stands for Battery Eliminator Circuit

all you do is connect it directly to your 6s flight lipo as well as your ESC so no additional batteries are required. (They are Eliminated)
