  • belt drive gear failure

    Hi
Just after some oppinions /advise on a failure i had last night while flying my 450 s.

In a hover and not pushing anything (no where near that level) the belt drive gear went snap..the top part vanished causing the belt to slip off. I got it down ok but am worried what the cause could have been, could my set up cause this plastic gear fo fail?

also does anyone know if the V2 parts will be interchangable with my s?

    Thanks for any help

Possibly belt too tight, but if this was the plastic pulley, then it could just be down to it being plastic, and giving up?

The metal V2 part should slot straight in, I think?

      Hi

The plastic pulleys are not that durable, they are fine to start with but if you stick the tail into the grass a few times which is easy to do with small models then it will strain the pulley and fail after a while, the Ali pulley is a much better long term option.

      Cheers
