I posted this in another thread but got no reply:
I just watched Finless Bobs 500 build videos and he recommended using alcohol (what a waste!) on the feathering spindle threads and bolts as there might be machine oil still in there. I hadn't done this before watching the video, I just applied the loctite and assembled. Should I strip it and do this or is it OK really?
I am using Hitec HS5245s, the Align supplied servo spacers and retainers plus the Hitec screws and washers. The servos needed centering in the frame cutouts but I've found that the washers have tended to open up the servo mounting lugs a bit. They seem fairly firm but i'm concerned that they arent fixed as well as they could be. Has anyone found a better solution or this OK?
thanks
Gary
