  • Wiring help for SportBEC and AR7000

Hello all. I am building a Trex 450 SE V2 and am at the part where the wires have to be soldered, etc.

I have the BL35X ESC from the kit, a SportBEC and my receiver is a Spektrum AR7000. I've looked at the ESC and SportBEC docs and the page at http://www.trextuning.com/electrical-setup.php but am still unclear on how the receiver obtains power and what should be plugged into it and where.

This is what I am thinking:
    ESC:
    - ESC Battery and SportBEC battery wires: solder to a single Male Deans connector. I don't have a Lipo alarm yet but I'm assuming this would also be soldered to the same connector.
    - ESC receiver wire (3 pin connector) to the ESC port on the SportBEC
    - ESC motor wires (3) to the motor

    SportBEC:
    - SportBEC battery wires and ESC connection as above
    - This leaves one 3 pin connector free. I was thinking this does into the receiver throttle port(?) but then how does the receiver get power?

I hope that explanation is clearer than it is in my head! The AR7000 comes with a switch that has two 3 pin connectors. The manual seems to show the female connector going into the BATT connector on the AR7000 and the other going to a battery. The supplied Lipo only has 2 wires coming out of it so I'm not sure how that would be connected (if it is supposed to be). Is it recommended to install a switch or do people normally just pull the battery connector to turn off?

I was also considering getting an Eagle Tree elogger (I like gadgets) but that'll probably just confuse me more. The manual for this states that one connection must be connected to the battery and the other to the ESC power source. However, with my thinking above the power source of the ESC is the battery(?).

I'm definitely nervous about getting the wiring wrong with the dangers of the Lipo batteries. Any help is appreciated!
