  • 65mg servo problem ?

MY 65mg servo is jittering at specific points on the throttle curve (when not connected to head). Does that sound like it has chipped a tooth? The last crash snapped a servo horn on the other side, but that servo is fine? Are the 65 mg gears easy to get hold of ?

OK stripped the servo, and all the gears were perfect! I cleaned it all up, regreased it and now it works sweet as a nut . I guess there must have been some grit in there, stopping it from working properly ?

Normally the bit of "grit" is a broken gear tooth

I spent ages checking all the teeth on the gears and feel 100% confident they are OK. I have never really had a problem with the servo's they seem super strong. That said watch my posts tomorrow for a " servo failure causes crash" post

Here's hoping you won't post that

I guessed you'd checked carefully and I'm sure there is only one plastic gear inside those any way so it would be pretty obvious should there be a tooth missing...unless of course the crash is hard enough to break metal gears
