Sensiblezero pitch throttle on a 600n with 50 hyPer is just under 50%
So v curve is 100, 48, 100 or some such. You should set a curve even if you have a governor as of the gov pickup fails ( the magnets do fly off!) then the throttle will go to whatever your tx is set to. If you set up a decent pitch curve you will be able to continue any manoeuvre and land and fly again without needing to repair the gov!

i dont understand the above setence ?
      i have a 5 point throttle curve so maybe 100 75 50 75 100 with a linear pitch curve for idle up

Be sure to add expo to your curves in order to smooth them out

If you want to set throttle / pitch curves without using a gov then linear throttle curve will not work properly.
The simple reason for this is that whilst the mechanical pitch curve on a heli is pretty much linear the power output of an IC motor is not.
When setting pitch / throttle curves the aim is to match the power of the motor to the load created by the pitch to maintain a constant head speed. Setting linear throttle / pitch curves will create a drop in head speed at upper end pos and neg pitch as the power curve of a motor flattens as it get towards max power.
The process I go through (coz I'm old school pre gov era) is firstly set the head speed at zero pitch. This gives a base line for throttle.
Next I set point 5 of throttle curve to 100% and adjust pitch curve at point 5 to give me the same head speed. This is unlikely to be 100% as most heli's have a greater pitch range than the motor can sustain.
Now I set point 4 pitch / throttle curves to give me the collective feel I want (response) and match the throttle curve point 4 setting to what ever value is required to maintain the head speed.
For idle up 2 (or 1 if only one idle up) you can then set points 1 and 2 on throttle /pitch curves to the same values as points 5 and 4.
All this assumes you have set the heli up as neutral at 50% pitch travel mechanically.
For normal mode and IU1 I use different pitch ranges (hovering / F3C style) so have to juggle the curves to give me the pitch response I want and then match the power setting to maintain the head speed.
Once I've got all the flight modes set up I then set the gov to simply maintain the previously set head speed. This way if the gov does fail it makes no difference.

Sorry I did not post back last night, I have gone down with something and have only just got out of bed.

My throttle v curve is 100 inh 65 inh 100.

Hope that helps, I don't really feel like the heli ever over speeds, that's comparing to my 700 where I do run a gov

thanks for that Mark. i cannot 'inh' on the DX6i so i'll have to just make the line on the graph straight from 100 to 65 whats your pitch range ?

              hope your feeling better soon.

Dave- very interesting, nothing wrong in the old ways if it works.
