  • 450 bearing life

how many uncrashed lipo cycles with 3000 head speed would you expect out of a trex450 before bearings might get rough enough to cause RF problems on 35Mhz? I was thinking the crashes would cause much more problems with the bearings indenting, and uncrashed bearing life would be a long long time.

    Next question:
Would rough bearings still interfere with 2.4Ghz?

I think it all depends on many factors, including, mainly, the quality of the bearings. Some are better than others, for sure.
I would suggest that a decent bearing in use on an uncrashed heli could last anything between 100 to 300 flights? Possibly more?

    No.

I get my Trex bearings from Model Fixings - miles better than the Align ones but still don't seem to last too long. Especially main shaft and blade grips

I had over 150 flights (with several crashes) from my 450XL. I have now stripped it down for it's first major overhaul and the bearings are well shot. But i have not had any interference at all. I was not running a head speed as high as yours though.
